PS3 Move Navigation Controller - Connecting to an Xbox One

Connecting to an Xbox One

1
Set Output Protocol

Follow the instructions here to correctly connect your CronusMAX PLUS to a PC via the PC PROG port using the supplied Mini-USB Cable.

Load Cronus PRO and go to Tools > Options > Device

Set the Output Protocol to XB1.

You can also enable Automatic DualShock 3 Bluetooth pairing if you wish.

The recommended Speed Up Settings when using a PS3 Move Navigation Controller with a Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter are as above - you can choose to tweak with them if you have any issues. If you have a slower Bluetooth adapter or experience any issues with rumble then you should try different 'Rumble Over Bluetooth' speed settings. You have the alternative options of Flow Control+, Flow Control and Disabled.

You can now close the Options window.

6
Connect the CronusMAX PLUS to your Xbox One

Connect the CronusMAX PLUS into one of your Xbox One USB ports via it's Output Port.

Note: As the Xbox One provides constant power to its USB ports, even when you do a soft-reset, we recommend using our custom Power/Data Switch Cable so you can easily reset the CronusMAX at anytime without getting stuck in AU mode.

The CronusMAX PLUS LED Display will now show the Authentication 'AU' Animation.

WARNING
If the LED on the CronusMAX PLUS does not change from AU to a number then the authorization controller is not authenticating. 99% of the time we find that this means the Micro-USB cable to the controller is faulty or not full data or simply not compatible, you should try another one. Another issue that sometimes comes up is that the controller USB port has a loose data pin. It will charge fine, but won't transmit data. Also make sure the controller is powered on of course - that's a rookie mistake. If it's stuck in AU after a console reset, then you need to unplug the Cronus as it is still reading the consoles security ID from the previous reboot. This is a problem with Xbox One as power is constantly provided to the USB ports, even after a soft-reset. We recommend you use our custom Power/Data Switch Cable.

7
Remove any Xbox One Controller Batteries

Remove any batteries or charger pack from your Xbox One Controller (if it has them).

This is a very important step or the controller will not authorize correctly.

8
Connect your Official Xbox One Controller to the CronusMAX PLUS

Connect your Xbox One Controller into the Input Port of the CronusMAX PLUS using a full data Micro-USB Cable.

After a couple of seconds the display on the CronusMAX LED will go from the Authentication 'AU' Animation to 0 (or a number if slot recall is enabled and a script was previously loaded). If the Display does not change from showing AU, try a different Micro-USB Cable between the CronusMAX PLUS and Xbox One Controller, and/or physically power cycle your Xbox One.

9
Disconnect the Xbox One controller from the CronusMAX PLUS

Once the display on the CronusMAX PLUS shows a number, disconnect your Xbox One controller from the CronusMAX PLUS.

The CronusMAX PLUS LED Display will now show the spinning Standby animation.

10
Connect your Bluetooth USB adapter to the CronusMAX PLUS

Connect your Bluetooth USB adapter back into the Input Port of the CronusMAX PLUS.

11
Turn your Navigation Controller on

Press the PS button on your PS3 Move Navigation Controller to turn it on.

12
Ready to Use

After a couple of seconds the display on the CronusMAX LED will go from the spinning Standby Animation to 0 (or a number if slot recall is enabled and a script was previously loaded) - indicating that the controllers are authorized and you're ready to play. At this point you can use your controller through the CronusMAX PLUS and also load any scripts or GamePacks. It's that simple!

BLUETOOTH LAG?
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices use the same radio frequencies to communicate, they often interfere with one another and are prone to interference from other devices operating on the same frequencies. If you are experiencing lag with your wireless controller, even though you have tried different Speed Up Settings in the Device Options panel, there is a good chance you have a WiFi Router that is causing interference. We have found that routers such as Apple's Airport Express have this problem and you should make sure that the router is not in close proximity to your CronusMAX/Bluetooth Adapter. You should also try changing the WiFi Router Channel to optimize your wireless signal. Click Here for more information on how to do that.

We also recommend that you Click Here to check out an article that looks at the effects of such interference, what causes it and how to reduce it in a home or office environment.
